The Anatomy of a grain bowl

When my mind wonders (all the time) i’m usually thinking about what it takes to make the perfect grain bowl…that’s totally normal, right!? Grain bowls are a great way to use up leftovers and whatever you have on hand.

+ Protein – usually eggs!

+ Grain – quinoa / rice / both! This is where a good rice-maker comes in super handy!

+ Greens – sautéed kale / cabbage (slightly sauté in a large pot using avocado oil and salt)

+ Roast Veg – broccoli / cauli

+ Ferments – kimchi / kraut

+ Healthy fats – avo

+ Crunch – chick peas / edamame

+ Creamy dressing – tahini!!
